These are our terms and conditions for the use of our website bittenfruitbooks.com and the purchase of products through the website. If you are a wholesale customer, pelase see the Wholesale Terms towards the bottom of this page.

The terms and conditions herein together with any notices or conditions on other areas of this website will all together govern use by customers of this website. You should note that Bitten Fruit Books may at any time make changes to or remove part of this website without any liability to customers for such changes. Bitten Fruit Books reserves the right to change these terms and conditions in the future without specifically notifying customers and continued use of the website or placing of orders after such changes shall be deemed to be acknowledgement and acceptance thereof.
A contract will only come into existence between you the customer and us once your order has been processed and dispatched.
When you as a customer place an order via this website, you warrant by placing the order that:
- You are not a minor or otherwise legally incapable of entering into a binding contract.
- The personal details which you give us on registration are fully complete and accurate.
- You are not using a false name or the name of any other person or body which you are not authorised to use.
Placement of an order
We accept all major credit/debit cards through our secure checkout process using SumUp, and we also accept PayPal. When you place your order you are doing so in acceptance of these terms and conditions and it is important that you have read them before you go ahead and order.
Cancelling an order
Please contact us ASAP if you need to cancel your order as books can sometimes be printed within 24 hours of payment. After printing, it is very difficult to cancel your order.
Acceptance of an order
When an order is placed you will get an order confirmation sent to the email address you provided during checkout, containing information about the order's contents and prices.
Delivery
Bitten Fruit Books assumes no responsibility for damages during transport or damages caused from any delays beyond its control. Delivery costs a flat fee of £3.95 within the UK and £12.00 anywhere else, with free U.K. delivery when you spend £25 and free worldwide delivery at £75. All orders are sent tracked. More information is given in the postage calculations section during checkout. You can also choose to pick up from location at PO9 3LX. Please allow up to 14 days for your order if in the UK, and 28 days if outside the UK. Please check your country’s customs legislation before ordering as we are not responsible for any duties you may have to pay on receipt of your order.
Returns Policy
Bitten Fruit Books accepts returns from retail customers within 14 days if products are not used, damaged, or otherwise manipulated. Products need to be returned well packaged. (We have a different returns policy for wholesale customers.)
No products may be returned to Bitten Fruit Books without the prior written consent of Bitten Fruit Books and are subject to a return charge.
Liability
We try to have the information on this website as accurate as possible but we make no warranties, whether express or implied, regarding its accuracy. We also do not make any warranties regarding any matters relating to the use of this website and it is a matter for you to ensure that your own equipment is protected from viruses or other external factors.
Your rights are protected by the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980, and also the Consumer Protection Act, 2007, where you are a consumer. Nothing in this website shall affect your rights under the applicable law.
Severance
If any of these terms and conditions shall prove to be void, unlawful, or unenforceable for any reason then such term or condition shall be deemed to be severed from the remaining terms and conditions which shall remain valid and enforceable.
If any provision of these terms and conditions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Wholesale Terms (for print books)
Terms: Our wholesale prices are set at 45% off the list price. There is a minimum order requirement of two books. If you place your order via our form, we'll email you to confirm it with an invoice attached. Upon payment, your books will be sent to you as soon as possible, usually from our printers based in or nearest to your country. Payment via this website is in GBP and invoices are also sent in GBP. All major credit and debit cards are accepted; PayPal is accepted, and bank transfer is also an option. If you are abroad, use an online currency converter to see the total of your order before any bank conversion fees. If you wish to set up a consignment agreement with us (rather than wholesale), please email us. We consider each request, but do have a limit due to cost.
Delivery: Books may come in separate packages and are always sent tracked. We charge a flat fee of £3.95 for UK customers (free over £25), and £12 for international customers (free over £75), per order. Bookmarks and swag are always sent from the United Kingdom at no additional cost with your order. Please allow up to three weeks for your order to reach you. If any books arrive damaged or misprinted, please contact us ASAP with photos.
Returns: We generally do not accept returns - that is why we have a very low minimum order requirement - but we will consider each request for returns separately.
We may contact you if needed information is in your order. We reserve the right to refuse any order (you will be refunded if we do). Placing an order means you accept the terms and delivery policies above.
